Committee Minutes
Regular Meeting
August 25, 2009
Attending Members: Greg Suchy, Josh Walsh, William Bilyak, Mike Pinatti and Al Ference were in attendance. Teri Gareau was also in attendance.
Non Members: None
Meeting called to order at 7:15 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. Josh made a motion to accept the minutes without changes, which was seconded by Mike Pinatti. All members were unanimous in approval.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
None
DIRECTORS REPORT:
- Teri Gareau provided a directors report, highlights were as follows:
- Summer Camp didn’t go as well as planned. Need to review again in 2010.
- Halls pond open for next two weekends.
- Kent fencing will begin working on the backstop
- Well update. Needs to reviewed by the state.
- Fence at RRAC started to get stained. Much more needed.
- Kayaks are being rented out.
- Working on signage for RRAC and Halls pond. Should be able to use Tech ED or EO Smith to make signs.
- Snow shoes for rent in the winter
- Discussion of overtime for Teri when additional time is needed to complete weekly requirements. Need to review job responsibilities and factor in additional duties in the future.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Field maintenance completed at the all the fields but some concerns about completion. Teri will follow up with contractor and report back to WRC.
V. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Basketball clinic for the 6-8th grade girls was approved. It will be run weekly until season starts in early November.
B. Need to pay bill for bee removal by exterminator. Greg motioned to approve, Mike seconded.
ADJOURNMENT:
Joe motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Bill Bilyak. The meeting adjourned at 9:09PM. The next meeting is scheduled for September 22, 2009 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
